This will be an intense week of capturing animals in paint.   I will bring images from my collection that you may use and you’re welcome to bring your own images.   I will do demonstrations as needed.  Some of the paintings we will be doing will be quick gesture type paintings as we attempt to capture the personality of the animal and learn to take chances.  You will surprise yourself when you don’t have time to be timid with your brush.  We will incorporate the rules of art, drawing, values, and edges to make a compelling painting.  Learn what to leave out, how to put down expressive brushstrokes for a fresh, lively painting that isn't overworked.  Critiques, individual attention and I will paint on your canvas when necessary to make a point.  Come to this class to learn by experiment and repetition, we’ll cover it all!

You may bring an 8x10 high quality  photo of any subject, it could be an old tractor or farm house. Although I will have plenty of good pictures for you to choose from.
